CASE 3 : Suge Knight
Marion Hugh Knight Jr., more notably known as Suge Knight, is the co-founder of Death Row Records, a popular record label that housed and popularized legendary artists such as Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg. With all this fame comes controversy, which is very synonymous with Knight's name from violent accidents to numerous gang affiliations, Knight has always been in the shadows of legal implications; most significantly, the murder and death of Tupac Shakur, which occurred while he was riding with Knight. In this case, advocates will face the challenges of Knight's cultural, legal and ethical issues that remain of his legacy; they will explore his involvement in the murder of Shakur, and Death Row Records' influences of gang culture.
